Should American Taxpayers stand for the President and his Family flying to the same location 3 hours apart, using two jets, two security details, etc.?
Someone said the other day the engines on Air Force One have not cooled down since he became president....we all laughed but sadly it's the truth if you think about it.
Do you really expect anything different from this current president? He's not interested in how much it will cost the tax payers. He never has been and will continue to spend as he pleases.
I truly resent this kind of foolish behavior, as the rest of us are struggling and cutting back, and can hardly afford gas for our vehicles. They are truly taking advantage of their position instead of setting an example. Sure hope we get a breath of fresh air in November 2012; he has taken advantage of us long enough!!!
Why not?? We put up with a LOT more foolish and stupid wastes of our money than THIS....But it IS insulting for him to talk about "sacrifices" we have to make when, as our "leader" he doesn't seem to be making any of his own.
NO!! That is another slap in the face of the tax payer the way the economy and the deficit are. Obama has put his thumb to his nose at the American people ONCE AGAIN!
And what are we "little people "supposed to do about it? The Obamas have time and again abused the power of the Presidency. Remember the famous "date" to NYC that cost almost $100,000? Or Michelle and the girls going to Spain with a huge entourage? At least one would think that someone on staff would put a little bug in their ear about the appearances of what they're doing by going to Martha's Vineyard. I read George W. Bush's book Decision Points, where he talked about how he and Laura put off a much more explensive vacation and went hiking instead because they felt it was the right thing to do. Appearances are everything. We only have 17 more months to endure these two.
Absolutely not. I think him, Congress and the Senate should all make sacrifices and drive their own vehicles to work like everyone else and take a substantial paycut. They are telling us to do the same. Oh and the rich ones in office need to buck up and pay more taxes.
What if, He was afraid someone might launch a missile at his plane, so he had his family take another flight so if that happened, his family would be spared?
NO Most of cant even have a vacation and they spend money like we have plenty of it.
ReplyDeleteStay on the job.
absolutely not!!
