Taliban forces killed in early Monday strike
WASHINGTON (AP) -- International forces killed the Taliban insurgents responsible for shooting down a U.S. helicopter and killing 38 U.S. and Afghan forces over the weekend, but they are still seeking the top insurgent leader they were going after in Saturday's mission, the top American commander in Afghanistan said Wednesday.Marine Corps Gen. John Allen told a Pentagon news conference that an F-16 airstrike Monday took out fewer than 10 insurgents involved in the attack on the Chinook helicopter.

Do not kill any Muslims because Obama will make gas prises rise more...
ReplyDeleteGood, but too late for our guys. We gave them enough intelligence to know how to pull them out in the open for an attack. Way to go Mr. OsBama!! Idiot! Stealth is what makes STVI and other special ops so effective. Losing that, places them at risk! OsBama wouldn't show pictures of his muslim brother but gave away critical intelligence of the mission to place them at risk??? Great Commander in Chief he is! This is why a president should have some military background. If they are going to put lives at risk, they should understand how it works, FIRST! clown...come on 2012!!
ReplyDeleteHow do we know this as a fact? WE DON"T!
ReplyDelete12:59, are you the same idiot that keeps trying to pen this incident on the pres.? I refuse to believe there are more than one of you out there that can be that stupid.
ReplyDelete#1 The same type of attack (i.e. ambush helicopter drops with shoulder fired weapons) has been successfully performed before over the last 10 years of fighting.
#2 These guys have been fighting us for 10 years. Does your super intelligent monday morning general mind not comprehend that the enemy is constantly adapting?
#3 Everyone one knows simply from watching anything from the history channel to the nightly news that our guys drop in by chopper
#4 It doesn't take a stroke of genius to even come up with the type of plan that resulted in the attack.
Do all of the US a favor and STFU. We need a well informed thoughtfull opposition that can push national policies in a positive direction. Not some wahoos spouting anything that sounds nice coming off a computer screen.
7:47 How does anyone know anything is a fact? Fortunately today's journalism requires several independent corroborators reporting the same story before publication. There are enough naysayers around that still argue men never landed on the moon and JFK is still hiding out with a harem on a secluded island.
ReplyDeleteOur military, especially those connected with special ops, seek revenge better than any in the world. The SEALS is one group you do not ever want to cross.
Good job guys.
The bottom line is we need to get the hell out of there, period. They have been fighting for years and will be doing so for years to come. Could go on and on but it just p---es me off so think I will go have breakfast.
