WASHINGTON - It wasn't just your imagination -- July was very hot.
So hot, in fact, the last two weeks of the month saw temperatures at or above 90 degrees.
"This July is the brand new hottest month on record," says Chris Naille, ABC7 meteorologist.
July 2011 bumped July 2010 as the D.C. area's hottest month, with average temperatures of 84.5 degrees. Last year, the average temperature was 83.1 degrees.
The hottest day was July 29, which hit 104 degrees, Naille says.
