A 25-year-old Houston man faces charges after police uncovered a sophisticated pot-growing operation Aug. 15 in his home.
Officers with the Kent County Governors Task Force went to the home in the 400 block of School Street and found 12 ½ pounds of marijuana, said Cpl. Bruce Harris of the Delaware State Police.
During the search, Harris said, police discovered a hydroponic growing operation, in which high-intensity UV light, fans, humidity-control devices, an automated air-handling system, and a regulated watering system were used to grow marijuana plants.
