Noone is under the law. He abused his power. Oh well. You gotta pay to play. Game over!
ReplyDeleteHarrassment law can get very detailed. For instance, if you have a spouse of a co-worker who swears all women are out to get her husband and she constantly shows up in the workplace and follows the female employees into the bathroom, stalks their cubicles in the evening when they are gone, corner's them and wants to know why they are single and they are not dating, why they are working late when her husband is, that is sexual harrassment. Just because its a female on female situation does not rule out harrassment. Also, a female boss who is jealous of you, who monitors any male employees you may talk to, who excludes you from workplace parties, and zeros you out constantly even though you have outstanding reviews from all other departments, thats harrassment. Also a boss who pressures you over and over to commit a crime by hiding potential fraud and you refuse. That's harrassment. Harrassment is real, its toxic, and its against the law. Each and Every person in management is legally responsible for taking the stand to stop harrassment or they will can be personally financially responsible for allowing it to continue. Especially when it has repeatedly happened for years and you have a very long list of victims. The example of zero tolerance needs to be set with a clean sweep of all responsible who allowed the law to be violated and people to be victimized over and over again in such a hostile work environment. Sometimes drastic measures need to be taken, in order to force change, including holding all of the peron's responsible feet to the fire.
