BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Economy Adds 117,000 Jobs In July
The Labor Department reports non-farm payrolls rose by 117,000 in July, surpassing economists' expectations for a 85,000 increase, while the unemployment rate fell to 9.1% from 9.2%.
Was this number made up as a result of yesterday's tanking of the Dow? I wonder how this number was arrived at. It's certainly not accurate. If it was, it wouldn't be rounded to 1,000.
The unemployment rate went down a tenth of a percent and this is good news??? This is like expecting to be hit by a tractor trailer and only getting hit by a Ford Festiva. Sure you're alive, but you still got run over by a car. The economy needs 4 times as many jobs as this to make a difference.
117,000 is less than the number of fine young immigrants coming across our southern border every month. Add in their spouse and half of their children and we have a real shortage of jobs!
WE need for the corporations to start hiring some of these new immigrants soon.
