ACLU Lawsuit Moves to Keep Sex Offenders In House Near New Day Care Center

The Delaware American Civil Liberties Union has filed court papers to stop sex offenders from being evicted from a safe house that is located near a new day care center.

The ACLU, along with an attorney representing the safe house and three sex offenders, has asked a judge to issue a temporary restraining order to prevent the city from evicting the residents.

“The state has asked the residents to leave, and if they don’t leave they will be arrested,” attorney Daniel Wolcott, Jr. told Fox News Radio.

  1. While I don't like the ACLU nor do I like sex offenders the idiot that decided to open a day care center should have checked to see if there were any sex offenders in the area. The one house opened 8 years before the day care. The other one opened after the day care did. In this case the day care center was wrong to move into a place where there was a safe house for these monsters.

  2. The burden should fall on the perverts... Watch out for the pedophile movement I couldn't believe it when I heard about this " B4UACT.org " simply unbelievable! First the liberal movement wanted to cram homosexuality on our children now they just want to have at them.

  3. AMEN THANK GOD for the A.C.L.U. as sex offenders will soon be saved from all these so called protect the kids laws. As we all know these LAWS do not and will not work as with any other laws on the books. How would you feel being convicted YEARS ago on a offense and 10 years later being told the rules are changing and they will be retroactive...WHICH is illegal and CALLED EX-POST-FACTO LAW...and the news sex offender laws passed here in Md. will soon be over turned as illegal and GONE and what did it all end up costing tax-payers as these politicains bandstanded and vote begged you all.SO be on the watch when these laws are over turned as they are being n other states.
