Talk about a great day! Not only was this a record attendance, it was the biggest fireworks display so far in Willards.
The East Side Chamber of Commerce did an outstanding job putting this together. Almost every single vendor ran out of food in the first couple of hours and had to run out and re-stock to keep the food flowing.
A special thanks goes out to the Willards Fire Company and the Board of Education.
They did a great job! My son loved every minute!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Willards can do this and not Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteYea, Great Job Willards. Thanks to all who helped make it a great show!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't just Willards. The towns of Willards and Pittsville donated funds but it was for the most part the businesses on the east side of Wicomico County who put most of the money in. (except for Dave White's Pittsville Dinette who is still upset that the Station 7 Restaurant opened up)
ReplyDeleteYep it was donations that made it happen. Small towns rule and Salisbury drools!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to go to Willards next year for fireworks. Snow Hill also has very nice fireworks on the Pocomoke River, BBQ chicken and much more.
ReplyDeletedave whites food at the diner is like him been retired for a long time
ReplyDeleteToo much religion for an Independence Day celebration.
ReplyDeleteAmerica was founded on NOT being religion-based.
7:00.....you have your facts wrong. This nation was built upon the premise that we could celebrate any religion we wish without having a state sponsored religion forced down our throats. That's exactly what we were doing. But at any rate. The celebration didn't cost you a penny. As a business owner who is a member of the chamber who did help pay for the event, I am qualified to tell you if you don't like the celebration, STAY HOME! We enjoy it. Some people have a lot of balls complaining about things that cost them nothing.
