WILL You Ever Sell Your House?

I checked this out on Snopes and its partially true. click on the following website for the full details.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/realestate.asp

Have you seen this?

Just some more of that old "Hope and Change" Obama promised the American People

Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it?
That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home etc.

When did this happen? It's in the health care bill. Just thought you should know.

SALES TAX TO GO INTO EFFECT 2013 (Part of HealthCare Bill) REAL ESTATE SALES TAX So, this is the "change you can believe in"?
Under the new health care bill - did you know that all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax? The bulk of these new taxes don't kick in until2013 if you sell your $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. This bill is set to screw the retiring generation who often downsize their homes. Does this stuff make your November and 2012 vote more important?

Oh, you weren't aware this was in the ObamaCare bill? Guess what, you aren't alone. There are more than a few members of Congress that aren't aware of it either.

  1. good thing we won't have to worry about this... most people won't ever be able to sell their houses anyway, thanks to what his excellency Obama did to our economy!

  4. Don't you wonder what else is in this bill that will drop on us like a bomb over the next 5-15 years? This president said NOTHING about "real estate taxes" when pressed about how this bill will SAVE us money (his words) or how it would be paid for....he's so used to Illinois politics, he thinks he can just talk smooth and give half-assed answers and verything will turn out great. What a loser for a president.

  5. Put your house into an LLC and when you go to sell, you sell the llc not the property and avoid property transfer taxes too.

  6. Once again you are posting half information. Yes there is a tax, but it only applies to people making over 200,000 a year or 250,000 for a couple. And the tax is only on the profit from selling the real estate. Having opinions are one thin ,but posting wrong info is not journalism.
