The Postal Service Has Its Own Real Estate Agent

CB Richard Ellis Group is the exclusive real estate agency for the Postal Service. The Washington Business Journal reports that in the past, the Postal Service worked with multiple real estate companies. Postal Service officials are considering closing or consolidating thousands of post office locations across the country. Last month the post office suspended contributions to its employee pension fund. Officials say that because the fund has a surplus of nearly $7 billion, the suspension of payments shouldn't affect current retirees. Over the past four years the Postal Service has cut its staff by 110,000 workers and reduced costs by $12 billion.
