A spokesman for the University of Maryland says President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak in College Park this week in a town hall setting.
Millree Williams, the spokesman, said Tuesday that Obama will be speaking at the university's Ritchie Coliseum on Friday.
Williams says a limited number of general admission tickets will be made available through the university. He says the venue holds about 1,200 people.
Williams says there hasn't been much discussion yet about the topic of the town hall meeting.
Washington has been deadlocked in debate over raising the government's borrowing limit before an Aug. 2 deadline. Obama on Tuesday said there's no more time for symbolic gestures and that it's time to get down to the business of solving the problem.
Does it matter where he "speaks?"
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, all he is going to do, no matter where he "speaks", is to read what his Wall Street handlers have loaded on the Teleprompter.
