WASHINGTON - Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) leveled a middle-earth ‘sting’ to GOP lawmakers who do not back Rep. John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) debt ceiling proposal by referencing the ‘Lord Of The Rings’ trilogy.
“The idea seems to be, that if the House GOP refuses to raise the debt ceiling a default crisis or gradual government shutdown will ensue and the public will turn en masse against Barack Obama,” McCain said on the Senate Floor Wednesday.
He should do the republican party and change parties.
ReplyDelete11:40 you are an idiot. Thanks you John McCain for all you have done for this country. Which is way more than anyone in that tea party.

ReplyDeleteI respect John McCain for his service to the Country, but you have no idea what any member of the tea party has done.

ReplyDeleteNothing compared to John McCain and you would be foolish to even pretend like they have. Look I don't hate te Tea Party or anything I didn't mean for it to across like that if it did, I don't even hate the Democrats I really just dont like any party at all and I respect McCain because he stands for what he believes in and thats it. He doesnt need to switch parties because he has always been a Republican who says and votes how he feels and we would be lucky if more politicians would simply do the same.
here here 12pm.
ReplyDeleteDidn't vote for McCain but the Tea Partiers are clueless. You've got a group of ultra conservative (nothing wrong with that alone) who are all hyped up on hyperbole and the nonsense red meat coming from their political leaders like Bachman and Palin. As is typical, you find that there is a strong inverse relationship between how loud they shout (or snarl, spit, or spew) on how much time they've taken to study an issue. Which is what really lies at the crux of the problem. Instead of being an informed opposition to Pres. Obama and Dem. plans that can help push the agenda in a positive direction, they would rather swing the pendulum fully back to the right, which so often is the wrong direction. But don't worry, far lefties do it too!
I'm 11:40 and if you are republican you don't want someone that is suppose to be on your side to keep turning on what the party stands for. McCain votes with the democrats more than any other republican in the senate. And what exactly has he done for America besides be a POW and nearly sink his own ship while in deployment. At this point he is a discgrace to his country by continuing to support ideas of the left and U.N which hate this country.
ReplyDeleteWow 11:40/12:39, I was not involved in this discussion but your comments in the last post show just how ignorant you are. I have wasted my time even writing this because you are truly clueless. You are what is wrong with Republicans/politics as a whole.

ReplyDeleteWell said! If Obama wins in 2012 it will be because of people like 12:39.
I would say you peaple are the problem. Because of people like McCain being so passive and trying to just get along has gotten us where we are today. Our rights as citizens are continualy stripped away. And Washington continues to give away the bank to the leaches on society and foriegn countries who hate us and everthing that made this country great. And you probably vote for this idiot in office.
ReplyDelete1:25, you remind me of a hobbit
