WASHINGTON - The air that comes with this week's heat wave will be dirty. How dirty that air is may be up to you.
There have been two days in 2011 when the air quality in the region was considered unhealthy, otherwise known as Code Red.
The Metropolitan Council of Governments issues a daily forecast for air quality. Here what each codes means.
Tuesday is a Code Yellow day. Wednesday and Thursday will be Code Orange days.
