Beaver Run Elementary is excited for the arrival of students for the 2011-2012 school year! Please note our new school hours: School will begin at 9:15 a.m. and end at 3:45 p.m., with school office hours from 8:45 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Leading the enthusiastic team will be new Principal Melissa Eiler, formerly principal of the Wicomico Early Learning Center and Wicomico Judy Center Partnership coordinator, and Assistant Principal Alexan Dargan. The faculty and staff would like to extend a warm welcome to new members of the educational team: Jessica Day (Grade 1), Valerie Folsom (Grade 1) and Jeffery Brabitz (Physical Education). We are proud to be a school-wide Title I school serving Prekindergarten – Grade Two. The faculty and staff will continue to provide rigorous, research-based instruction that encourages creativity through Arts Integration and Technology. The Brilliant Beavers will continue to model, promote, and celebrate school-wide expectations of being kind, safe, and responsible through the school’s award winning, Gold Banner, PBIS program. Our prekindergarten and kindergarten programs continue to demonstrate excellence in instruction as validated by the Maryland State Department of Education. We are a proud partner of the Wicomico Judy Center Partnership and the Wicomico Early Learning Center (WELC). Please stay tuned for upcoming Judy Center sponsored events. Beaver Run will continue to work with community partners on many initiatives, including the “Tales for Dogs” program.
