Sheriff Mike Lewis is pleased to announce the 2011 recipients of the Maryland Sheriff’s Association College Scholarships for Wicomico County. Each student was awarded a $500 scholarship by Sheriff Lewis on behalf of the Maryland Sheriff’s Association.
Scott Dillon Layfield, 18, a graduate of Parkside High School, will be studying Criminal Justice at Wor-Wic Community College in the fall of 2011.
Antonio Gutierrez II, 18, a graduate of Wicomico High School, will be studying Criminal Justice at Towson University.
Both recipients are interested in pursuing a law enforcement related career
