TRAFFIC ALERT - Daytime Lane Restrictions In Sussex County For Surface Treatment

Millsboro -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that DelDOT's maintenance crews will do surface treatment repairs, commonly known as "tar and chip", for the following roads throughout Sussex County:

Phillips Ditch Road from Phillips Hill Road to Lakeview Road
Godwin School Road (Road 410) from Godwin School Road (Road 328A) to Hardscrabble Road
Careys Camp Road from Route 24 to Conaway Road
Substation Road from Laurel Road to English Road
Samuel Hill Road from Laurel Road to East Trap Pond Road
Womach Road from Samuel Hill Road to Phillip Hill Road
Little Hill Road from Shell Station Road to East Trap Pond Road
Gordy Road from Kings Crossing Road to Whitesville Road
Little Lane from Whaleys Road to end
Line Church Road from Line Road to Whitesville Road
Baker Road from Pepperbox Road to Brittingham Road
Brittingham Road from Russell Road to Whitesville Road
Smith Mill Church Road from Oak Branch Road to Whitesville Road
East Snake Road from Route 13 to Old Stage Road
Blackwater Branch Road from North Springfield Road to Delmar Road
East Cross Road from Columbia Road to the Maryland State Line

The surface work operations began on Monday, June 27. The anticipated completion date is Friday, July 15, weather permitting. The lane restrictions will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. No work on Fourth of July, in observance of Independence Day.
