  2. We do not eat meat for every meal to cut back. Also, oatmeal is cheaper than boxed cereal. I could go on and on. Have started shopping at Save A Lot for certain items. Got scrapple on sale for $1.00 last week. Milk is much cheaper there too. And we have grown to love the dollar menu at fast food restaurants. LOL

  3. Its all about proper planning.
    Invest in Canister's and....
    Oatmeal in Bulk
    Rice in Bulk
    Flour in Bulk
    Milk at Rite Aid 2.89
    Legumes in Bulk online
Convert flower beds to raised gardens. Greens grow all year with proper cover.
Nuts and dried fruit in bulk for a healthy snack.
Save a Lot is the place to shop for the sale items they have on ten for ten dollars such as the scrapple above. With reduced work hours so many people have, its a chance to hone in on home economic skills that have been lost.

  4. It's getting harder and harder to eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables without breaking the bank. I have cultivated quite a garden this year and that has helped defray costs a bit. I refuse to resort to fast food. Won't poison my body that way.
