Voters need to be informed on where each candidate stands on the issues. Unfortunately, many American voters make uninformed choices in the voting booth.
ReplyDeleteThis post is directed towards 9:44 and others like them. I would say a majority of uneducated voters do not watch the debates and have no idea where their candidate stands on most issues. That's the biggest problem with elections. Look at the last election for instance. Most voted for a motto of 'yes we can' or 'hope and change' without knowing where he stood on the most important issues. I remember watching after/during the election, people celebrating because Obama was going to take care of them and they didn't have to worry anymore about money, etc. Like I said, uneducated voters are dangerous. It's your job as a voter to educate yourself on the issues of the candidates and vote for the person who best aligns with your views. Reading up on them and/or watching the debates now and then is a good start. I'm disgusted by the current thoughts that government or a certain candidate will take care of you. Take responsibility and do what it takes to take care of yourselves.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe you should be allowed to vote unless you can name at least 3 issues that you agree with your candidate on to show that you've actually done something to get informed on the candidates.
ReplyDeleteI've liked Ron Paul since I heard him speak for the first time 8 years ago. I'd like to see him go toe to toe in debate with Obama without his teleprompter.

10:28 a lot of people were celebrating not just because Obama won, but because Bush was out.
