Today's Survey Question

37 comments:

  1. Yes-YES-YES...Why is his situation different then Congressman Lee who was a republican and step down before the scandel broke. Most people heard about the resignation before the details of the scandal. Why is this different then Jim Tressel at Ohio State. He had knowledge of rules being broken and did nothing about it. Until we start to hold these people accountable we will continue to have people in positions of authority who act contrary to our expectations. There must be consequences for poor judgement from the leaders among us.

  2. No, there have been many people who have lived questionable home lives but were still effective at their jobs. I am a (D) but I feel the same way about Chris Lee and the Governator. When the personal life comprimises their public service then I draw the line. The only thing that separates many people from these men is: getting caught. :o)

  3. very true 12:10. i do feel he should step down but only because of his silly last name ;)

  4. Only if he is being remiss at his duties of being a political figure. I agree with 12:10 in that questionable home life does not mean a lack of effectiveness at job. What he did was stupid of him but it happened and has happened to many people. He should not have to resign.

  5. he lied! get rid of him!

  6. I believe the decision is up to the democratic leadership though I am concerned with Weiner's lack of good judgement and common sense.
Also what he did is very juvenile and screams college frat house behaviour. The fact that he opened himself up for blackmail is a concern. He had no idea if these woman weren't setups for Wikileaks or even a terrorist organization or foreign government and could use the pictures as blackmail for classified information.

  7. He certainly lives up to his last name.
No, he should not resign. He is a good congressman.

  8. If every elected official that has some sleazy sex habit has to resign, there might not be a quorum to conduct business! On the other hand, that might be a good thing!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yes, he is an elected official and is held to a higher standard; the one they promise to adhere to during their campaigns for our vote.

    ReplyDelete
  10. He lied, in the press, to the American people and encouraged others to lie and cover this up. He should resign.

  11. Seriously, are you people that ignorant? If this fool will stand before the world and lie, lie, lie about his account being hacked, how can we believe anything that comes out of his mouth. This Country once great and proud has become a nation of deviants. There is no morality, honesty or integrity. What? "Only if he is being remiss at his duties?" He is a liar and that has nothing to do with his personal life. If he will lie about this situation, do you truly believe he will not lie about everything else? He is going to laugh all the way to the bank collecting that fat montly retirement check that the fools that elected him blessed him with - whether he stays or goes - he comes out a winner. Pull your heads out of your a**** and wake up.

  12. Absoultely! He has secret clearance and I don't believe he can be trusted to do the right thing. He clearly continued sending pics and messages for an extended period of time, continued after he was married less than a year ago. Simply put, he is untrustworthy and should be resign immediately.

  13. Yes, he is a liar.

    ReplyDelete
  14. YES because he is an IDIOT!

    ReplyDelete
  15. What he lied about ANYONE would lie about! We all have lied at one time or another. If you are only going to vote for candidates who don't lie. . .well. . .there are none! The folks who are in office now? ALSO LIE! Get off your moral high horse people. . .you're no better.

    :o)

  16. does resign mean shot?

  17. You may be "no better" 2:13 but I can assure you that I AM and so is my husband. I'm on no "moral high horse." I'm just someone who makes and is married to someone who uses good judgement and common sense. I have zero stress in my life due to that fact.

  18. Yes----He lied once---he'll do it again!!
    An example to us---he isn't!

  19. Weiner could have been a real stand up guy if he had told the truth to begin with. Instead of having stiff resolve Weiner went limp and decided to lie. Weiner didn't rise to the occasion and tell the truth. He petered out and told a little fib instead of being the bigger Weiner and telling the truth. When a Weiner lies it always goes flat where as Weiner could have been pumped up by simply telling the truth.
The moral of the story is a Weiner should be truthful to move up in life. It is sometimes better to come out on top with the truth instead of hitting the bottom with a lie. Maybe next time he will decide to be a better Weiner. I believe Weiner should just shrink away and resign.

  20. Not only did he lie he committed slander by blaming a conservative blogger trying to ruin his career. He should quit and/or be indicted.

  21. this goes on all the time with politicians it is in the nature of the power hungry
he just got caught and lied about it
    sounds familiar
just imagine all the ones carrying on stupidly that don't get caught and pretend to be up standing
if people only knew what goes on

  22. 3:08, thats what Weiner's wife said before Weinergate! HAHA

    Point:
We all have our skeletons in one form or another. The only angels are in heaven. Born in sin, all of us.

  24. Yes, we need to clean house and get rid of all the lying politicians.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes, because he is an admitted liar. We can't have liars representing us lest we wish ourselves to be represented as liars ourselves!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Liar Liar pants on fire. If he just told the truth, it would be different but now his true character is out. Once a liar, always a liar to save his skin. Integrity is telling the truth in spite of personal loss. He needs to go!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah, maybe we can get that lie detector test guy from the Steve Wilkos show to go to Washington and test all the politicians. :0)

Look, unless we can prove this guy broke the law then he should stay. Period. . .and. . .uh. . .hate to mention it . . .but hooker hiring, diaper wearing, David Vitter (R) has not resigned. AND HE BROKE THE LAW!!! Ah, how quickly they forget. Like I said, get off your high horse.

    :o)

  29. His recent actions show a lack of good judgement.

How can we expect him to have good judgement when dealing with the affairs of the nation? How can we be assured that he would not compromise things of national security over his personal mis-conduct?

How can we be certain that such behavior would not lead to being blackmailed or other worse things?

Someone of such dubious character has no business representing the interests of this country.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Daddio, it is a double standard to allow Vitter (R) (hired hookers to put diapers on him) to continue while Weiner (D) (sexting) cannot. Justify your position.

    :o\

    ReplyDelete
  31. You can not accuse me of having a double standard. The survey question here is about Weiner, not Vitter.

Post another survey question about Vitter if you want my opinion on his affairs.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Alright,

    SURVEY QUESTION:
Why does Weiner have to resign when Vitter does not? This goes out to everyone.

    :o)

The Reason he needs to go is b/c we need to make them accountable.
In the Second American Revolution that has started as resullt of OBUMER (Obama to those of no intelligence) We the People are demanding accountability to the Office.

  34. The weiner should stick it out! pun intended. He's rendered himself ineffective and won't be able to get anything done in the house. If he goes, he'll be replaced by someone who'll most certainly be effective. He should stick it out & await possible reelection. those NY idiots will elect anybody and he's well liked...but ineffective!

    ReplyDelete
  35. 5:36 why not start with Vitter. . .he actually BROKE the law and he got caught first!!

7:37 He WAS one of the best REPs the D party had. . .you may be right now though if his colleagues are against him. . .
