The Obama administration wants $10 million to expand a website that lets agencies know who should receive federal funds, and who shouldn't. The site is called VerifyPayment.gov. It combines several databases to ensure that payments aren't going to people who have died, are in prison or to businesses and contractors barred from working with the federal government.
Federal Times reports the project is slated to go government-wide next year.
That's simple. If you are a U.S. citizen you get nothing. If you are here illegally cash in baby!!!
ReplyDeleteSmart Move on his part!!!!
ReplyDeleteSaw a program recently where Medicare fraud is making more money then your big Drug Dealers.
They had a guy on there who turned State Evidence telling about their "Set Ups" in various States.
Unbelievable how much money our Gov. is losing because of lack of "follow through!"
If it cuts out the $50 bil. they suspect is going to improper claims, then it is long over due.
ReplyDeletefair enough. i say we even expand it from dead people to drug addicts as well. feel free to limit welfare spending as well.
ReplyDeleteHow about we give them 10 million only after they save the 50 million in fraud? More than likely the way this goverment works they will just defraud us out of the extra 10 million.
ReplyDelete2:38 the amount is $50 BILLION, not million. So let's spend $10 million to provide oversight of the databases. $10 million was blown by taxpayers at Ocean Downs slots in the first three months. So I say let the government take the gamble as well.
ReplyDeleteWe need all the accountability we can get. I call this a great plan.
