Obama needs to be out of office. Now that he can do whatever he want, he takes advantage of it to the fullest. ridiculous. instead of carrying all your damn chefs to England, why not tell them to make some food for the many starving people in our country???
Bush traveling entourage, as reported by the "New Zealand Herald" in 2007
-250 ss agents -150 national security advisor entourage -200 fed. dept. reps. -50 WH political aids -15 k-9 teams -1 personal chef and 4 cooks -two Boeing 747 and a 3rd jumbo jet -marine one -1 black hawk helicopter - 2 full motorcades of 20 armoured vehicles a piece. Total= 670 people + 40 vehicles + 5 aircraft.
The point? If you didn't have a problem then, sit back and shut your hypocritical mouth. Your fake controversies are keeping us from addressing all the real problems the country is facing.
3:55, look at the article before you hit the comment link!
You guys spend a huge amount of time complaining about stuff you either previously supported or atleast condoned with your complacency.
Ex: Pres.'s international travel, who's invited to the White House (see Jon Stewart's great rebuttal), economy that you know full well was headed into the doldrums before the man came in, deficits (after a unaffordable tax cut with minimum net impact on jobs and a new entitlement program), democratic political fearmongering of Ryan's plan (although all we heard was "Obamas killing granny with death panels" previously), being for cuts in medicade before you were against them, the list goes on.
The point is not to bash or blame Bush. The point is that the politicians keep leading us down the wrong path because too many in the electorate choose to cherry pick some facts, make up their own to fill-in the blanks, and fall for any garbage these politicians feed you.
I mean, some of you actually believed "what books do you read?" was "gotcha journalism"!
7:25...where in the article did it mention Bush? YOU brought up the same old tired 3rd grade argument. How many more years of Obama's presidency do we have to hear the blame game? He signed up for this...he needs to put up or shut up!
Oh and by the way, the people who believed in "gotcha journalism" with the Palin interview definitely didn't fall for the "hope and change" nonsense.
All that guy is saying is complacency is what's killing us. Obama's entourage is not the precedent, Bush did it too. The thing is, Obama's failing policies are what anyone in opposition should be focusing on, not BS that the media feeds us that have nothing to do with the issues. Don't oppose Obama because he has an excessive entourage, or because he spends money on this or that presidential expense, oppose him because his policies SUCK! Oppose the stupid expenses as the stupidity that has diseased our entire political system, that is something you can't blame Obama for.
I am an Obama supporter and welcome any and all fact-based debate on the man's policies and the country's direction. This is how WE get the best ideas and best policies to guide us. But if we keep allowing hyper-partisan idiots on both sides to automatically reject anything from the opposite side of the aisle while failing to do their homework prior to supporting ideas from their own caucus, we'll keep getting piss poor half-baked policies from both the elephants and the donkeys.
Oh I get it. This info shouldn't have been printed because it makes Obama look bad and doesn't have anything to do with his policies.
Ok, I will just sit back and be grateful of how intelligent our president is and know that my hope and change will happen in the next two years. And then I can walk across a rainbow with unicorns, the tooth fairy and santa.
The author of this article is passing on information. It just proves that cutting back and carbon footprints don't apply to Obama especially in our decaying economy.
"Oh I get it. This info shouldn't have been printed because it makes Obama look bad and doesn't have anything to do with his policies."
Print all you want. But anyone with any inkling of common sense and an academically honest thought process would realize that this is how the leader of the world's largest economy and superpower travels, regardless of who he is or which party he represents.
Now, back to reforming entitlements, updating the tax code, and fighting the war on terror.....
