Kirk Cox to Seek Re-Election

Del. M. Kirkland Cox, R-Colonial Heights, will run for re-election in the 66th House of Delegates district.

Cox, who is the House majority leader and vice chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, said he would continue to work to provide a strong economy in Virginia.

In an email to 4,000 supporters, Cox cited his work in the 2011 session in sponsoring the higher education reform bill.

Cox, 53, has served in the House of Delegates since 1990. He has taught school for 28 years.

The district consists of Colonial Heights and 13 precincts in Chesterfield County.
