Well, it's about time. I live on Camden Ave., and it seems forever that this situation has existed. I'm grateful they're finally doing something about it, but why did we have to wait so long? That piece of paving is crossed by hundreds of people every day.
ReplyDeleteI was in Salisbury just yesterday and I cannot believe the condition of the streets in the city. Carroll Street is a heavily travelled street that has been in poor condition for years, Isabella is another heavily travelled street, and many, many more, including West Main St., and many others. I am ready to stay out of town with my vehicle as I don't want any damage done hitting the potholes, etc. Something needs to be done, and I don't understand why there hasn't been any in town street paving for a number of years. Hope someone can enlighten me on this problem, and please don't tell me it's money!! They seem to have money for other issues not as important!
ReplyDeleteIt is a mix of the state not giving away highway funds to the city like they use to aka money AND the lack of roads as a priority by leadership aka Gardner and Ireton.
ReplyDeletewhile we don't like him we have to point out that those potholes have been there long before the "ton of ire" came into "power".
ReplyDeleteYes, 6:39, but he has the power to make them a priority and has been in office long enough to make an impact on them, but has failed to do so.
ReplyDeleteok, so blame Ireton AND Tilghman.
ReplyDeleteboth relied solely on that state "free money" for our roads.
so what really was anybody paying city tax for other than police and fire?
oh right. a bunch of special "projects" from the mayor's office
Like Pollitt "ton of ire" (that's a great one thanks!) just needs a person or two.
the people need roads fixed, not press conferences trying to start race wars
what an idiot
Criticizing a previous admin does nothing. Criticism of the current one if loud enough could produce results. Gardner and Ireton need to produce especially when it comes to roads.
