Inflation at the consumer level increased 0.2% in May, slightly higher than expected. Excluding the food and energy component, prices were up 0.3% on the month, also higher than expected.
I get tired of seeing these phoney numbers bandied about. Please explain what a consumer can buy that doesn't include the price of food or energy? The true rise is more like 4 or 5% been food shopping lately?
