US Mulls Release Of bin Laden Photos, Video

'We want to make sure that not only the American people but the world understand exactly what happened'

Knowing there would be disbelievers, the U.S. says it used convincing means to confirm Osama bin Laden's identity during and after the firefight that killed him. But the mystique that surrounded the terrorist chieftain in life is persisting in death.

Was it really him? How do we know? Where are the pictures?

Already, those questions are spreading in Pakistan and surely beyond. In the absence of photos and with his body given up to the sea, many people do not believe bin Laden — the Great Emir to some, the fabled escape artist of the Tora Bora mountains to foe and friend alike — is really dead.

  1. They should have brought the body back and drugged it threw the Streets by the old World Trade Center spots; put this on U-Tube and let the World See what happens when you mess with the USA.

  2. Any time a CIA asset is taken out it is necessary to spin the story to the benefit of our National Interests.

Our government needs to create a convincing story to tell us so we can believe it. Other Nations will never believe it because they already know the truth about UBL, but Americans can still be convinced up is down, black is white, and war is really peace.

Come on Hollywood you can do it.

You refer to Tim Osmond (aka Usama Bin Laden)? He was the leader of the Mujahadeen who helped defeat the Soviets in 1983 when they invaded Afghanistan. I too believe Tim Osmond was Usama Bin Laden and there is tons of stories supporting that idea on the internet.

  4. I don't believe he is dead. Our goverment has lied to us too many times. Now if they post pictures, how are we to not doubt they are real pictures and not photoshopped?
They've had enough time to put together what they want us to believe.

  5. Assuming Bin Laden is dead....dragging his body around the streets would be stooping to his level. That would be desecrating a human(used loosely) body. We needed to stand up & do the right thing. He will be judged by God for what he's done.
