Salisbury Festival 2011

Thousands of people gathered in Salisbury over the weekend for the 2011 Salisbury Festival.

There was only one arrest, a teenage female who was trying to pick a fight and refused to calm down after Police instructed her to do so.

  1. It was a really fun time, Joe! We felt safe, everyone was smiling, the oyster sandwiches...mmmmm! At different times, we saw the Mayor, our new City Council President and her family plus the two new members of council. I feel like Salisbury may be on the comeback trail!

  3. I took my grandchildren on Saturday to the rides. I could not believe the prices. One ride ticket cost $1.50, and most rides required three tickets; $4.50 for a two-minute ride is ridiculous. (And yes, I know that a pack of 20 tickets could be bought for $23. That's still way too high). Food prices were equally out of line. For example, a funnel cake was $5, while a Pepsi at one booth was $3 and a bottle of water $2. How can a family take young kids there with these kinds of prices?
