Consumer Prices Rise 0.4% In April

Inflation at the consumer level increased 0.4% in April, led by higher gasoline and energy prices. Excluding the food and energy component, prices were up 0.2% on the month.

  1. Actually, that's for the government's stupid "seasonal adjusted" index. The CPI-U really went up 0.64% from March to April...

This year the CPI has gone up 2.13% in four months. That's a rate of 6.5% per year, assuming it doesn't accelerate (which will probably happen). Inflation is here, people, and hyper-inflation most likely will follow if we don't get the Federal debt under control.
