Capital Meats

Joe,

Someone was relentlessly ringing our doorbell this morning, yes Sunday at 11am. I finally went to the door and it was the guy from Capitol Meats. I told him to get off my property and he was not to happy. They are in a unmarked silver Ford Transit, Snow Hill Rd area. So if your readers dont want to deal with these folks maybe this will help them.

Thanks Joe.

  1. There is a Red Nissan Frontier that has a Freezer in the back and lettered up with "Capital Meats" logo on the sides. Very pushy and arrogant bunch. They are based out of Virginia...

  2. There is a van all detailed out in Laurel, Salisbury area.

  3. They have been to my house twice. When I asked to see some kind of license, any kind of license, they left in a hurry and have not returned.

  4. I have had trouble with these people, too. I don't answer the door for people I don't know when my husband is not home. (I'm quite a petite woman.) He saw me through the window as I was sitting on the couch and stood at my window waving at me. If he hadn't left a minute afterward I would have called the police. It was a little creepy to me that he would be so brazen. Most people would have recognized that I wasn't going to answer the door and just leave. I think next time they come to my house I'll answer the door with my .45 in hand. Maybe then they will get the hint.

I had them do their spiel in my house a few months ago, and bought a few samples. They were good, but very expensive. I'd rather buy fresh cut meat with no 12% solution (which theirs do not have) at Food Lion or Giant (the only 2 stores that offer this) than pay for the same thing from them, but that's just my choice. Everybody's trying to find something to do to make a living these days since "regular" jobs are in the toilet, but I don't think these guys are dangerous in any way. They're just looking for an alternative way to make money.

Meanwhile, I'm hiring good residential and commercial skilled workers with tools and transportation!
