It is not clear at this time what started the fire but this is an almost live shot of the scene.
Firefighters have arrived on the scene and are addressing the situation. We're told this is much bigger than it looks.
Heavey Flames coming out of the roof. 13 north bound is shut down.
Several stations are on their way as we speak.
Northbound 13 shut down
ReplyDeleteLOL, I just got a call from Tom McGuire, (thinking he was calling someone else, Jason) in a panic saying there's a FIRE at this Hotel, I'm on my way.
ReplyDeleteYou're a lot late McGuire. Thanks for reading SBYNews.com though. LMAO
lol
ReplyDeleteYou go Joe!!! i was wondering what all the sirens were about... and thanks for the help with the lost dog. After talking to you the other night, i just want to say you are a good person to know and an asset to the community. Keep your head up.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is safe. The fire was on the South Corner and seems to have come from the roof. All contained at this time.
ReplyDeleteTechnical Rescue, another Fire Truck, and Ambulance just went to the same location. 4:13 pm

LMAO
But now we have Jeff Simpson's ridiculous spending to deal with. The idiot had all the windows in that new fire palace tinted. I wonder how much that cost tax payers?
9:51 PM he also paid someone to rip out perfectly good carpeting and place down those tacky looking tiles in the Administration offices. Yes Paid for this with city tax dollars when the city is in the worst shape it has ever been in.
ReplyDeletetinting the windows was a smart idea for long term preventative maintenance of the equipment, any sound minded person would know that UV rays cause paint fade over time, which would obviously damage many pieces of equipment, as for the fire, fire was contained in the south west corner it looks to have started at ground level (mulch fire) and progessed up an exterior void between the brick and stucko facing, good job by all involved one ff treated for medical illness..
ReplyDelete3:44, get your facts straight. A fire fighter was extracted and sent to the hospital from a possible heat related situation. Lets just hope he is ok and thank him for his efforts.

Thanks Jeffry, but it's not your money!! Piss poor leadership on your part!!
anon 4:35 This coming from the same person that will probably complain when the Uv rays do damage the apparatus and they have to be repainted.....then you will complain that something wasn't done to prevent that.
