Advocates Of Raw Milk Lobby Congress Today

Advocates for raw milk are lobbying Congress on Monday, and they won't come empty handed. The "Grassfed on the Hill" group is bringing a cow with them, and plan to milk it near the Russell Senate building. The group is protesting federal action against a Pennsylvania dairy farmer. He's accused of distributing un-pastuerized milk to clients in other states. Farmers in the group say that private contracts with clients for milk is outside federal jurisdiction.

  1. If farmers want to sell raw milk the government should have no say in the matter.

  2. Okay, a cow is on a Delaware farm, gets milked, and the milk is sold to a Maryland customer who lives 2 miles away. This is illegal? Okay, so the Delaware farmer hitches up the cow behind the horse and buggy and tows (Kowtows?;)the cow to the Maryland customer, milks the cow in Maryland, and returns home. So now it's legal?

Same transaction, same milk, and the Fed Gubmint needs to keep its stinking nose out of how we do business!!!!
