Taxi companies and cab drivers will have to do a better job of keeping the town of Ocean City informed on who is working where, as City Hall takes another step to ensure drug testing of cab drivers.
I find it hard to believe that a local government (or ANY gov't agency) could/should make a private employer tell them where all of their employees are at any given moment, much less make them be available for voice contact. Thats some pretty powerful legal right you're assuming exists and is actually lawful. Have ALL the cab companies been indicted/convicted? Are the ice cream vendors next? How about the umbrella people on the beach? Where's the line? Don't forget --- our laws PRESUME your INNOCENCE. Where, again, is the line?
