A Sign Of The Times
We feel the pain. Salisbury Taxi owes Salisbury News over $1,000.00 and Kickers Karate owes us more than $600.00, they, (Kickers) never once paid their bill. While we have been paying for classes for our Grandson there for years, Kickers almost begged to advertise on Salisbury News and has simply refused to pay a penny for their ad. We even have saved e-mail messages from them telling us how much traffic they received from advertising with us and they are well aware those advertising dollars gets paid forward to charities and local non profits. By the way, the owner of Kickers is friends with John Robinson.
Now you know why their ads have been removed.
Why would you keep a non-paying ad up for six or ten months and allow the outstanding balance to get that big anyway?
ReplyDeleteBecause they kept promissing to pay. Remember, this money goes to charity.
ReplyDeleteI tried to warn you about Kickers Joe! They let bills add up all over the place and then they change the business name and move to a new address.
ReplyDeleteThese people are bad news! I know this because they've done the same to me!
eric thompson, the owner of kickers is a piece of crap. he started with powerkicks in fruitland. heard he left owning tons of money there. opened the place in delmar. filed bankruptcy. had a place in ocean pines, one over in the same strip center as old west steakhouse and now the one known as "kickers". i'm sure he left all those other places deeply in debt too. makes me sick knowing he can do this over & over again with no reprocussion and there are honest businesses out there struggling to stay alive.
ReplyDeleteyou should take the non-payers to court joe. not for the money, for the principle.
They're not the only ones in town that pull that stunt. Open as one business name, build up bills & taxes, then suddenly change name. New ID #'s, same owners, same logo on vehicles. It's disgraceful.
ReplyDeleteNot much diffrent than the iligals looking for jobs for instance: A large group of Mexican looking women and men came into my employment looking for jobs and were provided applications. One of the fermales came up with her application; SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and the NAME OF Sharon Smith. So I stated: "Hi Sharon Smith" at which she responded; "NO COMRENDE" She did not know a lick of English... So like above changes names and locations seem pretty common.
ReplyDelete12:42 - Could you do a quick spelling and grammar check and help us out in trying to figure out what you are saying?
ReplyDeletePlus, what does this have to do with the article Joe wrote?
12:12 Anon
ReplyDeleteActually Eric opened up TWO places in Delmar. One was in Delmar Commons Shopping Center and then he moved to the downtown area.
He left BOTH of those landlords holding the bag. His landlords, as you can see from Joe's post, are not the only people he's skipped paying on.
Somebody needs to stop this guy!
everyone needs a 2nd,3rd,4th,5th oh unlimited chances
ReplyDeletehaaaaahhaaa!!! I find this very amusing on Kickers behalf! I have met Eric Thompson and he is such an a**hole! So i think this is funny!
ReplyDeleteGood article Joe!
People like to put on fronts to make themselves look good, but behind closed doors they are scummy. I knew these people from high school and they haven't changed at all. I hate to say it but alot of people are like this these days.
ReplyDeleteAnother reason why Salisbury News Blog is a wonderful place to get news. I was looking for a summer camp for my son to go to and Kickers was one of the places I was considering. Was not aware of all the issues with Eric Thompson. Good to know, now I know where my son won't be going this summer. Thanks Joe.
ReplyDeleteNot defending any of the adults involved here but these people, good or bad, have children that didn't get to choose their parents. High school and elementary school are hard enough. They don't deserve the teasing and bullying they will get due to this post. Think about them before you bash please.
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was 9 years old, Mr. Thompson told me that he was unable to allow my son to continue in his "Power Kicks" because he was too rough. Well, #1, When you are teaching a bunch of YOUNG kids karate, what do you expect. #2, I now would like to thank Mr. Thompson for this insight because my son found his true calling, Wrestling and has OUTSHINED and EXCELLED due to a COACH that took a little EXTRA time with him....Oh and by the way ERIC.....I think maybe you should stick with getting your finances in order...God, Maryland Judiciary Case Search is GREAT!!! You have bee in and out of court since 2007!!!
ReplyDeleteJoe, Take your grandson to Night Hawk Martial Arts, in Fruitland. Master Mike is a skilled, patient, honest, teacher. We love it there!
