There was an emergency at West Side intermediate School. Some sort of odor was detected and they closed the School down immediately. ALL Students were bussed to West Side Primary. More to come....
That just won't do -- tear it down and build a new "replacement" school on land that the County buys for twice its value, and call it the "Bennett Intermediate School"!
I never said it was a big deal. We simply wanted to INFORM ALL PARENTS their children had been relocated. The phone call from the BOE was more than 2 HOURS AFTER they relocated the children. You didn't hear about it from any other news source either. Not for a couple of hours, anyway.
Not funny guys......I hear the county council approved the first little piggy's idea for Bennett Middle, building it with sticks so the county can afford it.
You were the first and only to report this. My son was in the media room with his tutor when they detected a very strong burning smell. I did receive a phone call 2 hours later. Thank you for being on this. It could have been a different story had everyone left for the day and didn't say anything.
Side note: my son felt like he did something very good today. Easy to walk away thinking someone else has it covered. Thank you again!!!
The children who were bused to the Primary were part of an after school program run by parks and rec- not the school. All of their parents were notified almost immediately, long before the robocall was made.
Let me quess, more flexable gas line.

ReplyDeletePay cheap...get cheap. Blue hairs never satisfied.
ReplyDeleteNot a big deal. BOE came out and checked it out and deemed it fine. Was done just as a precaution. School will open as normal tomorrow.
