Donald Trump is not backing down from his demand that President Barack Obama produce his birth certificate and stepped up his criticism by questioning why he has not released other personal records, including college transcripts and legislative papers.
The billionaire real estate tycoon and star of “The Apprentice” created a stir on Wednesday when he said on “The View” that Trump must release his birth certificate.
Now Trump has reiterated his call in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, with this simple message for Obama: Why don’t you produce your birth certificate and put to rest all speculation that you were born outside the United States?
He says Obama’s birth certificate controversy is a “strange situation” — there are conflicting reports as to what Honolulu hospital he was born at, and the governor of Hawaii claims he somehow remembers Obama being born 50 years ago.
“It’s a very simple situation,” Trump says in regard to the birth certificate issue. “I’d just like to see his birth certificate.
“I’m hearing all sorts of stories that his own family can’t agree which hospital he was born in and lots of other things, and I’m trying to find out where is the birth certificate. I have a birth certificate. Where is his birth certificate?
“If you’re born in this country, to the best of my knowledge people have a birth certificate.”
Obama asserts that he was born in Honolulu, but former Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Philip Berg has claimed that Obama’s paternal grandmother says she was in the delivery room when he was born in Kenya.
There are even differing reports about which Honolulu hospital he may have been born at. During his 2008 presidential campaign numerous reports indicated Obama was born at the Queen's Medical Center. Later, Obama's half sister said he was born at the Kapiolani Medical Center.
After questions were raised about his birth, Obama's campaign released a Certification of Live Birth. The form is a summary document and does not include the newborn's location of birth. The long-form Birth Certificate includes such data, but Obama has declined to release it.

Regardless of where he was born his mother was an American citizen and so is he. Does this mean that a person can't run for president if they are born in another country while their mother is on a vacation there?
ReplyDeleteObama could end all this ASAP if he would just produce his birth certificate. Then he could have the sstisfaction of saying "told ya so" and this would all end. His failure to produce and make public the actual birth certificate is suspious, and makes it look like he's trying to hide something.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to that would be yes.
ReplyDeletethere was an interesting tidbit brought up here in the comments the other day. a white mom, a white grandmom, and a black dad that had run off somewhere (sounds like a common story nowadays). the hospital BC probably says "caucasian" on it. that would stick a craw in some black voters!
ReplyDelete10:49 His father was not an American citizen. So which country would you pick for him to be a citizen of. And all of the people that is mother hung around with when he was a child were either comunist or radicals. So I would say it matters. Thus the reason a person has to be a natural born citizen to avoid another country from working the system.
ReplyDeleteObama is a shady character and has been since day one. I lost all respect after he promised open door health care plan meetings and then his first action was to lock the meetings down. Those sort of actions reflect poorly on any political persons and are partly why politicians get such a bad rap as a whole.
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious he was born in Africa if not he would have produced a birth certificate long ago to put this thing to rest. He has been a fake from the begining. He should not be President because he doesn't meet the bssic qualifications which means everything he has signed into law is not binding and should be ignored including his health care bill. Another trillion dollars spent that we don't have.
ReplyDeleteEven Louis Farrakhan's been bashing Obama lately.
ReplyDeleteIt does matter. The Constitution requires that only "natrual born citizens" are eligible to be President. See Article 2!
ReplyDeleteNot only English Common Law but also the Supreme Court (Dred Scot comes to mind) that the pharse clearly refers to birthplace and does not refer to blood rights or lineage.
Like many others - provide the details so we caan believe. Hire lawyers and block the details from public view and you've made your own bed. I'd bet on two things;
1) Obama is not a citizen
2) Well never know in time to do anything about it.
12:13 is exactly right. Obama is a security threat to our nation further more because of his beliefs and friends. Even kindergarten students have to have a birth certificate. The worse thing that has happened in our country since I was born was electing that *****.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Tom
Reading the previous comments, I hope all your children get a better education than you all ended up with.
ReplyDeleteI joined the US Air Force tears age and I had to show them an birth certificate to prove place and date of birth. Obama is the Commander in Chief of all the military, therefore he should produce his birth certificate just like all of us that are the grunts commanded by him.
ReplyDelete10:49-
ReplyDeleteThe Constitution says the president must be a 'natural born' citizen.. that means born IN the US.
And his mother had to be an adult living IN the US for a period of years prior to his birth in order to convey citizenship to him. She may not have been.
And his father was a British subject-- making him a dual-citizen. Another problem.
And as to the possibility of his being declared caucasian-- I doubt it. He doesn't look white now, and probably didn't when he was born, either.
Many naysayers say "What difference does it make?"
A lot. We either follow the Constitution upon which this country was founded, or we go along and make up our own rules as we go.
The second option will destroy the country (take a look around...)
It DOES matter.
He was probably born in Africa. When it was time to fill in the birth certificate, and Mom was asked where they lived, she probably said at home and he will live at home with us, and they messed it up and printed, US as in United States.
ReplyDeleteOk..it's a long shot but I thought it was funny...lol
Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in the gaps left by the Constitution. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are "citizens of the United States at birth:"
ReplyDelete•Anyone born inside the United States *
•Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person's status as a citizen of the tribe
•Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
•Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
•Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
•Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
•Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)
•A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.
* There is an exception in the law — the person must be "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States. This would exempt the child of a diplomat, for example, from this provision.
Anyone falling into these categories is considered natural-born, and is eligible to run for President or Vice President. These provisions allow the children of military families to be considered natural-born, for example
Let me sum up Obama in two words EMPTY SUIT!
ReplyDelete5:01, you hit the nail on the head. Indeed, Obama's citizenship DOES matter. The Constitution spells out who is eligible to be President. We can't just ignore it because it suits our purpose to do so. Only an amendment to the Constitution, passed by 3/4 of the states (38), can override what is in the Constitution. Only a bona fide birth certificate can resolve this issue, and apparently Mr. Obama is not willing (or able) to produce it.
ReplyDeleteIs it also true that obama is using a SSN from Connecticutt? How does THAT happen? And YOU KNOW there is SOMETHING wrong with his birth certificate. He is willing to take TREMENDOUS heat and punishing comments about it when all he has to do is, yeah , thats right, JUST PRODUCE IT. Which he could EASILY do. Easily. But he will do anything and everything in order to AVOID doing that. Even if you're in love with the very ground obama walks on, you cannot deny that he behavior is suspicious (at best) and embarrassingly deceiptful, especially for someone who is the President of the USA!
ReplyDeleteit's ridiculous to suggest anything here..
ReplyDeleteyou know damn well if there wasn't a qualifying birth certificate 3 years ago...you can be sure.. one that has been generated by now
