OCPD PROUDLY ANNOUNCES 2010 RESERVE OFFICER OF THE YEAR
On Thursday, March 10, 2010, the Ocean City Police Department proudly
recognized Ann Gough as the 2010 “Reserve Officer of the Year.” Gough
has been a member of the OCPD Reserve Officer Program since 2003, serving over eight years of dedicated service to her community.
During 2010, Reserve Officer (RSO) Gough distinguished herself by
contributing nearly 400 hours in support of public safety with the Ocean City Police Department. RSO Gough assisted at numerous parades and festivals, as well as other public events. She helped at Winterfest of Lights, the OC Air Show and routinely assisted with other public safety functions such as the Baltimore Avenue pedestrian crossing detail. In
addition, RSO Gough spent numerous hours assisting the Services Division by
answering phones at the front desk as well as assisting the Public Affairs Office and the Office of the Chief on numerous occasions.
RSO Gough joins a prestigious and highly deserving group of individuals who have been recognized for their contributions to Ocean City. The title of Reserve Officer of the Year is awarded to the person who best demonstrates a devotion to duty and public service, and whose conduct and contributions exemplify the purpose of the Reserve Unit.
Since its inception, the Reserve Officer Program has saved the Town of Ocean City over $1 million in service hours. In 2010, the Reserve Officers donated a combined total of over 4,000 hours, with RSO Shalimar Kufchak receiving an award for her contribution of 523 hours of her time to the Ocean City Police Department.
