HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS BRING BASKETBALL’S FIRST-EVER 4-POINT SHOT TO SALISBURY

WITH ASSISTANCE OF HARLEM GLOBETROTTER “FLIGHT TIME” LANG

With the coaching of Harlem Globetrotter player “Flight Time” Lang (currently on the CBS show Amazing Race) and the cheering on by members of the Kids Klub after school program and the Stars program at Pemberton Elementary, County Executive Rick Pollitt will take Wicomico County’s first ever 4-point shot, the Globetrotters’ newest innovation to the game of basketball.

The 4-point shot is 35 feet from the basket and will make its official debut in Wicomico County when the Globetrotters play the infamous Washington Generals on Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

The Harlem Globetrotters, who have contributed more innovations to the game of basketball than any other team in history, have implemented the first-ever 4-point shot as part of all of its games on the team’s 2011 “4 Times the Fun” North American tour, the team’s record 85th season of touring.
