Jockey Gets 50 Years For Murder

Stalked, stabbed woman after argument at bar

A jockey from Severna Park was sentenced yesterday to 50 years in prison for following a woman home from a bar last May, stabbing her to death outside her apartment and seriously injuring her boyfriend.

The sentence was in line with a plea agreement 22-year-old Francis Eugene Adams entered into last month for the May 29 attacks on Debra Lynn Gill and Clayton Baublitz. In exchange for the state not seeking a sentence of life without parole, he pleaded guilty to one count each of first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Charges are pending against 23-year-old Danielle Swain of Severna Park, Adams' alleged accomplice. A trial is scheduled for April 5.
