ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley and Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will host a youth inaugural event today, rescheduled from the weather-postponed event originally scheduled in January. More than 500 students from throughout Maryland will join Governor O’Malley and Lt. Governor Brown to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead for Maryland’s new economy, and the role that education will play in the transformation. Issues expected to guide the conversation include college affordability, job creation, and budget challenges.
This event, originally scheduled in January and delayed due to weather, serves to continue an ongoing dialogue with the people of Maryland on the tough choices needed to be a winner in this new economy.
