WICOMICO COUNTY NEWS BULLETIN

The Wicomico County Department of Public Works is lowering Coulbourn Mill Pond by 6 feet to allow residents to perform shoreline maintenance. The pond will remain lowered until February 15, 2011. The work is being performed at the request of the pond's Home Owner's Association.
DPW has also lowered Leonards Mill Pond by 6 feet for the same purpose. The water level there will be restored on January 24, 2011.

  1. Thats BS. South Division road caving in across from where the guard rail is facing the turn to fruitland. Cannot be repaired with the water high.What HOA??

  4. Yes they do this all the time and completely screw up the pond ecosystems. It is supposed to be for maintenance of private docks. And no one actually performs any. Parks and Rec director Gary Mackes continues the practice, one because he can (power,power!) and two because fishing and environmental organizations oppose him on it. Maintenance? That'a a joke. Its just another massage for Mackes incredible ego.
