In a brief tour around Salisbury this weekend I was able to collect the above images of graffiti. I also noticed several buildings with fresh paint over areas in which they had been tagged, so there's a lot more graffiti still going on that we were not aware of. Boy, I sure do hope we're not going to fall back into the mode we were in a few years ago. Folks, keep your eyes open and if you see suspicious activity call it into the police immediately.
Can you or the police give more information of the meaning of the tags? This will help people realize how important it is to watch, report and cover these gang communications. Otherwise, people will just think they are a nuisance or just mischief.
ReplyDeleteBut Joe, don't you realize these are just frustrated artists that we need to spend more tax dollars on in order to provide them with programs so they can expand and put their art skills to good use? (Sarcasm)
ReplyDeleteyeah i just tried to call for possible items stolen out of a persons yard and they find every excuse as to why they cant do anything about it. police around here dont want to be bothered.
ReplyDeleteI've brought this up before, give the hunters a new hunting season. Bag limit 3 gang members a day. Get a license fee and put that money toward repainting.
ReplyDeleteto remove these tags shows disrespect for the gang , see if your police forse tells you this. these people taging are true scum BLP
ReplyDelete@10:31 I am fairly certain the mx3 tags are related to Mexican Mafia type gangs... like Latin Kings, La Eme, or MS13.....
ReplyDeletemajority of those tags are not gangs. they are local white boys, just into graffiti & tagging. dont believe me? i know some of them. why dont you focus your attention on a more serious issue?! violence, taxes & "good ole boys" ?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteGet ride of gangs an the art work will go with them. Do whats important.

ReplyDeletewow?! Are you serious?? Did you just try to say it's only local white boys tagging? By the way if you know who it is, why aren't you busting them with the cops?? You're no better than they are to say you know they are and allow them to continue. And it is a serious issue to businesses who have to continue to spend their money to cover that crap up just because they won't go get some paper and paint. I hope they start busting them and making them pay back all the money they cost everyone for their tagging. It's down right disrespectful.

You must be new here. Joe is about the ONLY one around here that addresses these issues and more.
I would suggest Joe focus on under educated people as well but I think that is a lost cause in this area.
