WikiLeaks SOLD Classified Intel, Says Co-Founder

One of the early members and co-founders of the tight-knit, secretive WikiLeaks operation charged today that the website and its co-founder, Julian Assange, sold intelligence information the site had obtained.

John Young, whose name was listed as the public face of WikiLeaks in the site's original domain registration, also alleged that the website is a lucrative business.

Young said he left the site in 2007 due to concerns over its finances and that WikiLeaks was engaged in the selling of documents.

Young was speaking to WND senior reporter Aaron Klein on Klein's radio program on New York's WABC Radio.

"I think it is a money-making operation, no doubt," Young said of WikiLeaks.

"It follows the model of a number of other business intelligence operations. Selling intelligence information is a very lucrative field, and so they are following that model, usually cloaked in some kind of public benefit," he told Klein.

"But they are far from being the only one that does that," Young added. "It's a well-known business model.

Asked specifically whether he was charging WikiLeaks with selling classified information and documents, Young replied, "Yes."

Klein then asked, "When you were at WikiLeaks initially, was your impression they were trying to sell information?"

Young responded, "Well, it only came up in the topic of raising $5 million the first year. That was the first red flag that I heard about. I thought that they were actually a public interest group up until then, but as soon as I heard that, I know that they were a criminal organization."

  4. A young and dumb military man sold us out and placed our fellow comrades in danger. I hope he gets the death penalty. We know how corrupt government is. I just want to know if WikiLeaks know who really killed John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King? And, what is the real truth about 911. Now, that would change history.

  5. how can information be 'property'? secondly, if someone TOLD him the information, it should be his RESPONSIBILITY to let the truth be told. if we (the US) werent so dirty, we wouldnt have cared if information had been leaked.

  8. 1:47 If you can't determine how research results and assessments A.K.A. information can be property there is no use trying to reason with you. You obviously are limited. As for full disclosure being beautiful I bet you won't feel that way if you or your loved ones lives were put in danger because of someone revealing your personal information.

  11. Paul Craig Roberts writes,

"The U.S. government definitely does not believe in accountable government. Among the first things the Obama regime did was to make certain that there would be no investigation into the Bush regime’s use of lies, fabricated “intelligence,” and deception of the American public and the United Nations in order to further its agenda of conquering the independent Muslim states in the Middle East and turning them into U.S. puppets. The Obama regime also made certain that no member of the Bush regime would be held accountable for violating U.S. and international laws, for torturing detainees, for war crimes, for privacy violations or for any of the other criminal acts of the Bush regime."

Both political parties are controlled by the elitist international bankers who run our world's governments.

You make a presumption that our government could somehow become or is already "bad".

    That is your mistake.

Our government is ordained by God the Creator. The God of Moses has already blessed this government and it is found to be kosher.

The United States of America cannot commit crimes or become inhuman. It is the utopia of government, perfect, and entirely God-like.

Do not question authority my friend
