Starting Out 2011 With A Clean Slate

Because we didn't want the Downtown area to look like a slum, Sparkle Wash was able to come in today and clean off the graffiti on my building to assure everyone we will not stand for such childish behavior.

As I stated in comments, its a building and material items can be replaced or fixed. I have spoken with a Realtor and I will put this building up for sale. It's just not worth risking a historic building to some low life jackasses who feel defacing such a structure hurts me personally. They couldn't be more wrong. They're hurting an entire community and no public official or Police Agency is going to stand for it.

So we clean the slate for 2010 and enter 2011 as if nothing ever happened. If you're interested in the building, (before I sign any contracts) you can call me at 410-430-5349 or e-mail me at alberobutzo@wmconnect.com and we can discuss it.

In closing I'd like to thank Sparkle Wash for their fine work and speedy repairs.

  1. I'd like to see other businesses remove their graffiti within 24 hours like you just did. Great example Joe. I hope they catch who did it.

  2. The terrorists have won! Joe, I am disappointed. Any further damage than some graffiti would result in tremendous jail time, and as you've shown, graffiti inst that hard to remove. Don't give up because of a few lowlifes.

  3. You're getting pushed out just like we planned. You're caving little man,

  4. why give in to the minor minds who don't have guts to confront you in person....keep the building, at least it's being maintained, it's getting use, and most of all, it stands as a symbol of your fortitude, personally, I would think that the fat boys would be tempted to do something else if you stayed, and with a little stealth surveillance, I am sure they would be busted

  5. Reconsider, please.

If you cut & run, they win!

And that's not your style, is it?

  6. This completely contradicts your earlier post today -- "there ain't no changes planned for 2011".

  7. Sure and they would get a slap on the hand. Big deal. Joe, I don't blame you one bit. Who needs this extra aggravation. Best of luck. Don't worry, they will get what is due them... They are unhappy sick people that have nothing else to occupy their pea-brains. Maybe they could volunteer at Coastal Hospice or collect food and clothing for the needy. Fat chance of that!!!

  8. I don't blame you one bit Joe. As much as you do for this community, you do not deserve this. These idiots have no idea how difficult it is to maintain an historic old building. Good luck with your next venture. I know you have something really great planned.

  9. ...and in the end THEY win! I wouldn't have thought a little grafiti would let you give in.

  11. Good Luck selling a building in a dead downtown area with no plans to really improve downtown. Haapy New Year Joe and thanks for all you do.

  12. As long as you have the nicest property in town, it won't matter how bad the town is when selling. Your property will always rise to the top to those interested in the area. It may be less attractive overall than before, but you are still at the top. It's the mediocre and sub standard properties that will suffer during a downturn as they will be "shut out".

My experience at least in the Beach market.

  13. He's selling because he can't afford it! no other reason, joe's life is crumbling, he can't pay his taxes, he's running out of money and friends.

  14. You think you see, but you dont. Dont go and never be satisfied. I know you better than most. Its what I do, what I do with it is, well thats up to me. Always has been.

  15. Good! 'Bout time you got the 7734 out of downtown Salisbury. Most people realize only those who need to look up to see a snake's belly have any reason to be inside the City with those who are running it (into the ground). It's far beyond hope without wholesale changes all around.

7734?lmao Seriously? I haven't heard that since grade school. But that's where you and your ilk are stuck mentally.

You and your punk buddies will never win. And you have no idea how many good people you are pissing off.

Some of us are pretty sick and tired of all of you. Joe won't do anything to you because he is more or less a public figure.

But the rest of us do not have that hindrance. A good old fashioned ass whipping is coming your way.

I hope Joe is far away and someone else is there to take pictures of your wussie asses crying and begging for it to stop.

To use your own word, THAT will be karma.

You have been given enough rope to hang yourselves. Giggle about that kids.

  18. Happy New Year.

    Sorry about the graffiti problem.

    By The Way,

How did the commenter "John Robenson" know exactly what the JASA 15 scrawlings was BEFORE the pictures were posted??

(check comments in the "suck it up cupcake" posting)

The personal attcks on your family were uncalled for. You just can't insult this character.

  19. I don't care how much animosity there is between people, turning to sneaking around and vandalizing someone property is nothing but 100% pure cowardice. No matter who theye are, they have just diminished their standing and a real man or woman. Hey Joe is that camera still up on the corner that used to shoot at your place.

Maybe. But maybe there are others. :^)

  21. The Joe haters have turned into the hated ones because of their constant vulgarity and low life actions.

Those who matter in this town know who they are and are watching them. Joe should get out of downtown. It is the snake pit of the county. Let the haters have it - you have better company to keep than those losers.

  22. Just because the man sells a building doesn't mean he is going anywhere! You don't go to the building to read the blog, do you? As was said before, it is just smoe coward with a $1.50 spray paint can causing like $100.00 damage. I have heard him say many times how he does little with the building but pays a butt load of taxes for it. Don't worry Joe, we know you are here to stay.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I wish you would reconsider. If you leave the building then it's likely to sit vacant, and that's no better.

  24. This is the best news all year, Joe finally has an excuse to leave, not the truth that he can't afford it! Good ridance. Now, who's going to step up and tag the ranch? (and the grandturd and Moen)
