The Salisbury Christmas Parade A Huge Success
Even thought it was bitter cold yesterday, thousands of people showed up for the Salisbury Christmas Parade hosted by the Salisbury Jaycees.
Folks, 10 minutes before the Parade started it looked as if no one was going to be watching. However, everyone must have been sitting in their cars waiting for it to begin because out of nowhere, once things started, the streets were lined with people and it was very enjoyable.
Even though Councilman Gary Comegys wasn't feeling well enough to participate, it was nice to see they recognized him in this event.
It was a sweet parade and even though it was cold everyone seemed to have a great time.
ReplyDeleteThe best float was ECI and I loved the one for the fire cadets. That point was driven home and a great way to push smoke detectors.
Great parade. Next, Delmar's on the 11th. I love going around to all these different towns for the parades. Really makes it feel more like the Christmas season!
ReplyDeleteHurlock Parade is December 11th @ 12.
ReplyDeleteSeeing Matt & Sheriff Lewis together was great. Of the politicos, Terry Cohen's boatload of kids was the best.
ReplyDeleteHey, Cohen! I'm the one who yelled NICE BOAT! Sweet little classic runabout, '55 to '62 I'm guessing.
It was nice that Salisbury's new Chief was there IN UNIFORM. She is making a great first impression! Our boys (and ladies) in blue deserve to be well represented.
ReplyDeleteDid any one notice City Councilwoman Cohen's magnetic tag said "County" Council?
ReplyDeleteRegardless it was good to see you Mrs. Cohen. Thank you for being there.
Great shot of sheriff & chief of police!

ReplyDeleteThey've never done this before! Don't you think this was a free plug for Gary's re-election bid!
