We have 2 one hour slots available tomorrow, Saturday, December 11th that we would really like to see filled.
North Walmart Retail - 5 to 6 p.m.
We are very fortunate that the weekends and evenings have stayed booked with volunteers.
We are still in need of bell ringers 9 to 5 p.m. during the week.
Many thanks,
The Red Kettle Campaign
If you'd like to volunteer please call 410-749-7464.
It occurred to me that 9-5 is hard to fill because many are working during those hours, however, perhaps someone who has been collecting unemployment for a year or two might take some time from their busy day and give back a bit by volunteering a couple of hours. Just an idea.
ReplyDelete10:59 - I agree - where are these people? I think they should be doing something for the good of mankind since we are supporting their unemployment through our tax dollars.
ReplyDeleteShanie can't be bothered. She has shows to watch.
ReplyDeletei agree, but lets face the real problem. why is anyone able to sit home for 90 weeks and collect unemployment? if the government enables people to be lazy they will be lazy. why would you expect anything more? back to the issue at hand. i know that giving money to people in need is the "right" thing to do. 35% of my paycheck isn't enough? where is my help? oh yeah, i work so there will be no help.
