  2. Get in there and do the JOB! Don't get caught up in special interest groups and causes and do an honest day's work like the rest of us out here struggling!
Remember WHO you represent instead of the one(s) who BOUGHT your seat in Congress.
Just be an HONEST American and do what's right.

  3. Don't do like you did in 1994-- walk in there with your hat in your hand, practically apologizing for winning, and scared to death that you're going to hurt some liberal's feelings.
We sent you there to FIX THIS MESS !!
Don't apologize, don't compromise your principles away-- do what we sent you there to do, or we'll have to fire you, too.

  5. Our newly elected Republican representatives (or all new ones for that matter) should follow through as a group on all of the things they promised to do and do it openly so we can see how well they are fulfilling their promises. If they put forth the legislation and the new "party of no" denies the will of the people, 2012 will come soon enough for their unemployment opportunity.

  11. 1st: Congress take a 15% pay cut. They approve their own pay raise every year when other folks aren't getting any raise.
2nd: Congress and President be placed in the same health care system as everyone else
3rd: Congress repeal this nonsense that they received their pay until the day they die, then their spouse still receives it.
4th: Congress puts in place term limits
5th: Congress no longer receives free transportation. You go anywhere pay your own way, the rest of us do that.
6th: When not in session pay is reduced even further. Face it, they are not working the whole time they are in their home states
If we start with items such as these look at the money that would be saved EVERY month!
    Just a thought.

  16. I can't wait for them to take office so that I can complain immediately how things are instantly fixed, just like they did when Obama took office.

  17. I always see so many contradictory statements on topics like these.... "continue the war on terror/cut spending", "repeal obamacare/leave medicare alone", etc.

And to people like 12:06 who think overpaid government employees is our biggest budget concern. Just as an example, if all 100 senators receive $100,000 a year in extra benefits and travel expenses, etc, that would be a whopping $10,000,000, or less than a million a month. I don't think that is making or breaking our country like the $700 billion the DOD spends per year.

  18. all the statements are "right on" except for 4:12. you need to get a lot more education and get your head out of the sand. i hope you're teachable. if not; go away and don't express your thoughts because it just makes you look stupid and you know stupid can't be fixed.......
