This man is a principal at Parks Martial Arts on East Main Street. He and his family live above the studio. He has, on the surface, a pleasant enough manner, but he has been very demeaning and has singled out students for ridicule; both in adult and juvenile classes. What an awful shame that he has evidently chosen to beat his two sons, who are very young - both under ten, I think. I would hope that the studio would respond to this and address the concerns that students will obviously have.
ReplyDeleteLet's be careful 9:46 - allegedly.
ReplyDeleteWhile I agree that by reading the post it sounds like he did this - he's still innocent until proven guilty.
Well if Child Protective services is involved he will just get away with it......I know a case right now where there are 3 children all under the age of 12... The Mother lets her boy friend do drugs and beat these children, threaten them and they are told to keep it quiet...CPS was called and put these children right back with these animals...I have NO FAITH in CPS..What are you people thinking??? You are not looking out for the children..You were Trained and are paid to protect children..Well guess what ..You failed these children..Whats it gonna take?????
ReplyDeleteWhat a real shame this is. My son took lessons from Master Kim for several years. He was a great teacher and mentor. I never witnessed him abuse anyone and neither did my son. This man is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Please remember that.
ReplyDeleteMaster Kim still is a great teacher. Don't read everything you read in the press. If this comes to a conviction - Salisbury will have really proven that it has lost itself as a community.
ReplyDeleteinnocent until proven guilty. easy to pass judgement without knowing facts and being there.life is fair. law is not. God will determine if he indeed is guilty as charged.
ReplyDeleteno one has any idea of what happened. salisbury is in for a surprise when they really find out what kind of man he is. if you know him you already know. if you don't i hope you get to meet him
ReplyDeleteare all father's abusive? who has not beaten kuds before. visit prison andu will see why you have to spank kids. for now just pray for the family and friends. specially for the kids
ReplyDeletePeople who beat children and abuse will get away with it until the child dies or is severly beaten..CPS and Social services are a big joke..This has got to stop ...If these lazy people having these jobs cant do their jobs give them to some one who gives a sh--..When is a mother a good mother when she lets a drug dealer beat her child..Hello CPS I got to say you are a very big disappointment..And you are wrong,.
ReplyDeleteI used to go to Parks Martial Arts where Master Kim teaches and lives. He is a great taewkondo teacher and all, but I think many people should have a restraining order on him especially these to poor kids. I read this and it says Master Kim has 8 counts of child abuse, thats alot and he got into jail this tuesday and got out shortly after. I think he should see a doctor to fix his anger managment issues. I feel very sorry for the boys and hope they feel better, and I wish that Master Kim could not be bailed out and had to stay in jail for the rest of his life.
ReplyDeleteOk master kim is a very close friend I am one if his students and u people have no idea wat the hellu r tlking bout sun kim would never abuse his 2 boys and you no at alls no everything then u would not that these boys participate in a taekwondo sport called sparring were u put on gear at a comptetion and fight duty and I no that these boys used to bet the snot out of each other u dumpasses I cat believe that. Think that he would do such a thing he lovedthose boys with all his heart and I have knwon this man for half of my of my life so shut up and leave my master alone
ReplyDeleteI agree...i have known master kim for a decent portion of my life..as a teacher, a mentor, a master, and a friend. Taekwondo can be a rough sport...I left class with new bruises everyday..sometimes I couldnt wear tight clothing or shoes because of my injuries. I even had to get a cast once. ANYBODY who knows this man...anyone at all who has the privilege of meeting him would not doubt his innocence for a second. He is a gentle kind soul who pours his passion and love into each and every one of his students.
ReplyDeleteHe was convicted yesterday and is currently in jail until sentencing.
My thoughts and prayers are with sunjin obba, and the family at parks martial arts ...I cant imagine how great of a loss this is for them..
god be with you
You guys don't know him for real. I'm happy he'll be living in jail he always beat up me and my sister when we did it. I had bruises that looked like it is going to pop a blood vessel and used to use his bamboo sword it hit our legs. He only did it to Koreans who could speak English to well so they couldn't file child abuse and assault charges and it was after eagles so he had no right to do so.
ReplyDeleteI was best friends with the boy, he did indeed beat him! He even showed me the horrid bruises! Jong June was forced to leave us to move to someplace new and out of the state. I trusted his father! What he did was horrible!
