My son attends SCS and knew him. We were all praying for his health and comfort for his family, which we will continue to do. I am so sorry for their loss. Jill B
Heather has been the strongest, and faithful person and has left this in Gods hands and never doubted him. I can no imagine the devistation of losing a child and I just hope the thoughts that he is no more hurting or suffering brings alittle happiness to her in this horrible time. Wayne, was such a wonderful little boy who was so sweet. God bless all of you!
we've been wearing "play for wayne, pray for wayne" wrist bands for months now and prayed for him every night. now we will continue to pray for his family and that he is no longer suffering.
I am so sorry to hear this. I didn't know him but know Brooke Mulford his classmate and have followed both of their stories in the media. What a sad day for their family, the school, his little friends, and his little friend Brooke and the Mulford family. No child or family deserves to go through such devastation and suffering. Prayers going out to little Wayne and his family, etc. RIP
God Bless Wayne and his family. Trust in the Lord that he is in a better place now and looking over us all. May his family find peace in the memories they have of him.
My son and I were introduced to Waynes story in a "small world" way. My son was receiving his wish from Make-A-Wish and one of the kids that was putting together his pool table was telling me about his baby cousin who just that week was sent to Hopkins and diagnosed with cancer. I shared with him my sons' story and the fact that he has Leukemia and what a great hospital Hopkins has been to us. I immediatley got on the phone and called up to the 8th floor, Pediatric Oncology, and spoke with the nursing staff. I told them how I found out about Wayne and asked them to take good care of him as they had done my son and so many others. He was a kid from the Bury like us. He was family now. I left my number to give to the family and left it at that. I then found out that his mother and grandmother were teachers in my great nieces' nursery school. "Small world" indeed! While at Hopkins, my son and I saw Wayne and his family. The look in his moms' eyes was the same look I had seen in so many faces up there: the deer in headlights look. Stunned and wondering what was going on. When I heard this morning that he had earned his wings like many of the kids we have met during treatment, I cried and cried. Acheing for the family. Scared of it happening to us. As we continue our battle, please know that we will keep fighting with Wayne in our thoughts. I am so sorry. Kerry Schoepf
May God comfort his family during this time. His church family is still praying...

ReplyDeleteHow very sad for this family. There is no greater loss than the loss of a child. May God hold them in His hands and comfort them.
