Melson Tractor Pulling Ends Season

Folks, this event was absolutely a blast. Unfortunately their season ended Saturday but you talk about fun competition! Kids as young as 9 years old to people in their 80's would compete in tractor pulls, dirt track drag strip races, truck pull raced, mud bog races and even lawn mower pull races. In many cases the Melson't would have to extend the competition to a second day because so many competitors would come out for the challenge.

My Grandson and I went on Saturday night and I thought, we'll only be there for a little while. After 5 hours of entertainment and cold temperatures, he still didn't want to leave.

We were told by the Owner that they spent years advertising in the Daily Times, spending several hundred dollars per ad and next to no results. This year they chose to advertise with Salisbury News for $100.00 a month and the return on their investment was unbelievable.

I can assure you of one thing, we'll be back next season and we'll do so as often as they have these races.
