Joe:
Beaucoup kudos on your efforts to get Salisbury out of the briar patch, again, at last night’s meeting. The continuing "firehouse fiasco" is unbelievable, except that it’s for real. They should sell it to whoever makes the highest offer (but for at least the price that you offered to pay - $250,000) or do a public auction. That proposed deal to sell it for $100,000 is ridiculous.
You and that lady from SAPOA put Ireton right where he belongs, in the crapper. He’s a bad joke that’s getting worse every day. I voted for him last year, and for the last time.
I’m becoming tired of listening to Ms. Cohen and Ms. Campbell, who seem to make an issue out of everything to get face time on PAC14. Then they often cave – like waiving the liens on that property to please Habitat for Humanity. And I gave up on the "3 stooges" long ago.
Keep up the good work because we need to clean house in City Hall ASAP. It’s as bad as it was with Barrie and the "Dream Team," and maybe even worse.
Cohen and Campbell micro-manage to the nth degree. They make it look like they're doing it for the taxpayers but they really just want to be seen.
ReplyDeleteCampbell didn't vote to waive the liens. Do you check facts?
ReplyDeleteDisagree wtih the Cohen & Campbell bashing here. Last night was a great example of the two at real work.
ReplyDeleteBoth made brief and great points on the fire boat. Cohen put a compromise in on the ad fees that actually passed and it will mean savings to the taxpayers. Campbell brought up the lack of work done on the property liens that could cost us money. She voted against it, she didn't cave!
Not sure why Cohen didn't vote against it. Maybe despite the questions she felt it best to get a home into Habitat hands. Just goes to show she and Campbell do not vote the same all the time, unlike the 3 stooges.
Some people complain no matter what.
Neither one seems like they are trying to get "face time." In fact, I appreciate the look under the hood they give. Not only does it save us money, I actually learn something about government.
I guess some people want rehearsed meetings. The council president sure seems to.
