ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley will join military officials, veterans, and other Marylanders in recognizing Veterans Day. The ceremony, organized by the American Legion Post 141 of Annapolis, will be held at the Maryland World War II Memorial, a lasting tribute to the men and women who fought for the principles of freedom, both abroad and at home, recognizing their contributions as well as educating present and future generations about World War II and its impact as the world’s greatest military effort to date.
